Community Engagement

Wayne County Historical Museum

Circle City Clubhouse

Historic Camp Chesterfield

In collaboration with colleagues from our Exhibit Design and Planning course, we proposed a reinstallation of the Wayne Co Historical Museum's African display. For this project, I created the color palette, look book, and label design for the new space. This work will help the museum connect its African objects to the history of Wayne County and entice visitors into the more immersive exhibit space. The full presentation on this project can be found in the document linked below.

In collaboration with colleagues from our Museums, Health, and Well-Being class and Circle City Clubhouse we created a brand new tour for Clubhouse Members to use when welcoming new members to their community. I was part of the interpretation team, helping Clubhouse members use the skills they already have to better connect with attendees during the tour. This work aimed to help CCC attract new members and promote its mission effectively. The script for their new tour is linked below.

In collaboration with my colleagues from our Museum and Audiences course, we created evaluation instruments for Historic Camp Chesterfield's grounds and events. Two surveys and one observation instrument were created and will help HCC better understand their audiences, how their audiences are utilizing HCC services, and what HCC can do to better connect with and promote their mission to new audiences. A full report of the project can be found in the document linked below. Check back soon!
